Who we are

What we collect

Details you type into the contact form or the free website audit form: name, email, phone, company, website address and your message.
Whether you agreed we can reply to that enquiry, and whether you opted in to occasional emails.
A cookie that remembers your cookie choice.
Analytics or marketing data, only if you opt in. If you do not, those cookies are not set.
Technical details Google reCAPTCHA uses on the forms to check the submission is not spam.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry or prepare your audit. You confirm this with the required tick on the form.
To send occasional updates, and only when you tick the optional marketing box. You can unsubscribe by emailing us.
To keep the site secure and block spam on forms.
To understand which pages are useful, and to measure advertising, when you allow those cookies.

Cookies

A banner asks for your choice on the first visit. You can reopen it from Cookie settings in the footer.

Necessary. Always on. Remembers your cookie choice and helps protect the forms. This includes Google reCAPTCHA on the enquiry forms.
Analytics. Off until you opt in. Then we load Google Analytics.
Marketing. Off until you opt in. Then we load Google Tag Manager, which is where advertising tags are managed.

Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site or sending a form.

Who else sees it

Mailgun (EU). Form messages are emailed to our team through Mailgun’s European service, so that delivery is processed in the EU.
Google reCAPTCHA. Used on the forms to block spam. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser. See Google’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Loaded only after you opt in to analytics or marketing.
Cloudflare. Hosts this website.

We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you tick the optional box on the form.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, then deleted. Your cookie choice is stored in this browser for about six months, or until you clear it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

show you the details we hold about you
correct them
delete them
stop using them, including marketing emails
send you a copy

Email info@yweb.co and we will respond. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in Ireland, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
