Onestop Access: A Machine Page and a Quote

A WordPress rebuild for a powered-access hirer. Every machine has its own page, the fleet is grouped by category, and a quote builder captures the enquiry.

The Opportunity

One Stop Access (Scotland) Ltd hires powered access across Scotland: scissors, booms, truckmounts, spiders and telehandlers, plus IPAF and PASMA training from their Newhouse centre. The old website had fallen behind the fleet. It was outdated, and it gave a visitor nowhere useful to go once they had found a machine. No product to land on, no category to browse, and no way to turn that visit into a quote.

What We Built

A new WordPress site, built around the machines rather than a single brochure page.

  • A homepage that states the fleet, 988 machines and a 90m working-height capability, and puts Request a Quote next to Explore Our Fleet
  • A hire catalogue filtered by equipment type: bi-fuel and diesel booms, scissor lifts, truckmounts, tracked spiders, telehandlers, self-drive mounts and low-level access
  • A page for each machine, with the working height, outreach and cage written out. The Ruthmann Steiger T510 HF, for example, is a 51m truckmount with 33m outreach and a 600kg cage, hired with an IPAF-qualified operator
  • Category pages for the searches a hirer actually types, so a scissor lift and a 51m truckmount are not competing for the same URL
  • Add to Quote on the machine, with no payment taken on the site. The hire page promises availability back, usually within the hour
  • Trade accounts, hire terms, and the training centre kept in the same navigation as the fleet
  • IPAF Rental+ and Horizon Partner shown in the header, with the desk on 01698 423 826

The Results

  • A specific machine can be found, read and added to a quote without a phone call first
  • Category pages give each part of the fleet its own place to rank, set up against the hire firms already on those terms
  • The quote is the conversion. The site says so on the fleet page: no payment, quote requests only
  • Training, sales and a trade account sit beside the hire, so the business is more than a list of machines

The Result

The fleet is searchable by machine, and the hire starts as a quote
