A traditional pub on Donegal's harbour — good pints, good food, and a warm welcome, run by the same family since 1962.
{{ moodNote }}
Three generations behind the same bar, on the same corner of the harbour.
Michael Gallagher opened the pub in 1962, in a stone building that used to store grain off the boats. His daughter Deirdre took it over in the nineties, kept the low beams and the open fire, and added the beer garden out the back. Her son Aidan runs it now.
The building itself predates the pub by a century — stone walls two feet thick, and beams that came off decommissioned fishing boats when it was converted in the 1950s. You can still see the old grain hoist bolted above the snug. Locals will point it out if you ask, and most will have an opinion about whether it still works.
A downloadable PDF menu is available at the bar for anyone who'd rather not squint at a screen.

Takes a minute, works well on mobile.
We'll have it ready for you.
On the harbour road — look for the green door past the old grain store. Free parking behind the building; if that's full, the pier car park is a two-minute walk.
Step-free entrance from the harbour road, accessible toilet on the ground floor, and the beer garden is fully level. Give us a shout if you need a hand with anything.
